Tonight, we’re going to pick up where we left off with networking.

However, there is going to be an added component to this meeting. You’re going to use IRC. Those of you who are out of town will be able to see the action live on irc.freenode.net, channel #ufsit.

IRC - Internet Relay Chat Some examples of clients: - Weechat - irssi - mIRC - XChat - Browser-based - Chatzilla (Firefox Add-on) - KiwiIRC (http://kiwiirc.com/)

Useful commands: /server irc.freenode.net /join #ufsit (enters the channel, or “room”) /part #ufsit (leaves the channel) /msg Matt Blah blah (sends a private message, or ‘pm’ to Matt with the contents “Blah blah”)
